Origin: Galapagos Islands (Isabela & Santa Cruz); endemic to the region.
Species: Capsicum galapagoense.
Plant Description: Small to medium, shrubby plants (3–4ft), but can stay smaller if potted and pruned. Pods are tiny, bird-type, bow-tailed, bright red when ripe, thin-walled and seed-rich. Leaves are aromatic, sometimes hairy or silvery. Very rare and highly sought after by collectors.
