Flavour Profile: Extremely hot; less fruity than red variants, with sharper, tangier notes and occasional earthiness. Still retains some mild fruitiness beneath the heat but overall less aromatic.
Origin: Selected as a colour variant from classical Moruga Scorpion; original from Trinidad and Tobago.
Species: Capsicum Chinense.
Plant Description: Large, bumpy pods start vibrant green and may fade to beige or light chocolate as they mature. Produces copious, large fruit; very productive plants.
