Flavour Profile: Strong, complex flavour with sweet, fruity, and smoky notes. Not “skunky” but has a powerful aroma. Thin oil inside, sometimes compared to Bhut Jolokia or Brain Strain type peppers.
Origin: Developed in Italy by Rocco Maltesi; cross between MA Wartryx and 7 Pot CARDI (Trinidad origin).
Species: Capsicum Chinense.
Plant Description: Plants can reach 1.5m to nearly 5ft in height. High-yielding, produces very large, bumpy, gnarly chocolate-brown pods with many showing “tails” (scorpion-like tips). Pods ripen from dark green to brown/chocolate.
