Origin: Bred in the UK, suited to cooler climates. Popular in Europe for patio/container growing.
Species: Capsicum frutescens (occasionally listed as Annuum in some sources).
Plant Description: Neatly domed, compact plants (approx. 55cm tall); pods start jet-black, ripen to dazzling red. Fruits are 5–6cm long, thin-walled. Highly ornamental with long crop season and very high productivity. Happy in containers; black fruits can be eaten fresh or dried.
