Collection: Switzerland

Switzerland’s fresh pepper production is mostly centered in greenhouses, and output declined to roughly 517 metric tons in 2023 from previous highs. Most Swiss farms are organic or biodynamic, with sweet bell peppers and a growing selection of hot chilis adapted for high-altitude and protected environments.

Swiss chili culture thrives via community-supported agriculture and a strong consumer market for locally-grown and imported hot peppers. Imports, especially from Spain and Italy, support the Swiss foodservice and gourmet markets year-round.
